Each course for students in Master of Arts or Doctor of Ministry programs offers three credits, and is designed to be completed within 3-6 weeks. In addition to the following, some undergraduate subjects
may also be available as graduate courses upon request.

OLD TESTAMENT

OT 601-Wisdom from Proverbs
Life-changing truth in seeing life from God's perspective. Includes taped messages by Adrian Rogers. The course shows how Proverbs deals with today's issues, such as guarding our thought life, sex sins, drinking and abortion.

OT 603-Malachi for the End of the Age
Based on audio taped messages by Dr. Adrian Rogers, this course demonstrates the parallels between the end of Malachi's age and the end of our own. Insightful parallels demonstrate how we must faithfully and fruitfully serve God as the second coming of Christ approaches.

OT 605-Directed Old Testament Study
For the student who would like to investigate an Old Testament subject in depth, or complete a special course dealing with an Old Testament book or character not covered by our regular curriculum.

OT 805-Advanced Independent O.T. Study
For the serious student desiring a concentrated study on a particular subject in the Old Testament. Advanced Bible study techniques are required to complete the necessary research.

NT 605-Directed New Testament Study
For the student who would like to investigate a New Testament subject in depth, or complete a special course dealing with a New Testament book or character not covered by our regular curriculum.

NT 611-Book of Revelation
This study of the Bok of Revelation is based upon research by Dr. Tim Lahaye. It explains such topics as the rapture of the church, the great tribulation, the final battle against Satan and his hosts, the new heaven and new earth, and much more.

NT 621-Life of Paul
Robert E. Picirilli throws light on the great Apostle.

NT 723-Advanced Independent N.T. Study
For the serious student desiring a concentrated study on a particular subject in the New Testament. Advanced Bible study techniques are required to complete the necessary research.

BIBLICAL LANGUAGES

BL 611-Greek Syntax & Translation
A study of New Testament Greek specializing in translation, drills, and syntax. Emphasis is given to verb conjugation and irregular verbs and nouns. Greek background required.

BL 721-Advanced Greek
An study in New Testament Greek requiring intensive translation and advanced grammar. Emphasis is given to verb moods and tenses. Prerequisite: BL 611

CE 501-Christian Approach to Education
Classic study of educational theory and application.

CE 603-Christian World View
An inspiring study of the Christian world view and how it stands in opposition to the secular world view we are exposed to every day. Based on audio taped messages by Dr. Adrian Rogers.

CE 612-Future Foundations of Christian Education
Leading Christian educators discuss how to develop a fresh, innovative Christian education program for churches, homes and schools.

CE 701-Biblical Special Education
An insightful study of the vision, mandate, needs, and ministry of special education programs in the Christian school.

CE 703-Creative Bible Teaching
This course will renew your enthusiasm for teaching God’s Word as it focuses on how to better understand the Bible we teach and how to unleash the transforming power of Scripture. Resource book is by Lawrence O. Richards and Gary J. Bredfeldt.

PASTORAL MINISTRIES

PM 611 Confident Pastoral Leadership
Three respected pastors John R. Bisagno, Howard Sugden and Warren Wiersbe share their insights from decades of pastoral leadership. This course provides answers that both new and experienced pastors need to know to survive and thrive in ministry.

PM 625-Servant Leadership
A study of biblical principles that will help equip pastors and other Christian leaders to lead the way Jesus did. Based on Guided by Grace by Paul Chappell and the classic entitled The Minister as Shepherd by Charles Jefferson.

CC 512-Counseling from Scripture
Based on the research of the Bobgans, this course offers a wealth of Scriptural resources for helping hurting people with God's Word. Practical foundational principles are emphasized throughout this study.

CC 601-Counseling Youth
Guidelines for youth workers on how to counsel teenagers.

CC 615-Family Counseling Resources
Biblical principles and insights on God's plan for the family. Includes taped messages by Adrian Rogers.

CC 701-Biblical Counseling

A thorough analysis of the historical background, the theological foundations, the process, and the practices of biblical counseling. The student should gain an understanding of the role of counseling in the church's responsibility for making disciples.

CC 711-Search For Significance
An evaluation of the false beliefs which lead to low self-esteem: the performance trap, the approval addict, the blame game, and shame. Includes God’s four answers which allow us to rise above these debilitating attitudes. Students are required to complete a second workbook with specially designed Bible Studies and personal application exercises.

CC 811-Advanced Nouthetic Counseling
Based on the research of Jay Adams, this course takes a Nouthetic (Christ-centered) approach to Christian counseling. Includes help for the actual counseling procedure. Special topics include dealing with anger, envy, depression, schizophrenia, sexual problems, and fear.

CC 812 Pastoral Counseling
This comprehensive course offers a wealth of resources for pastors and other counselors. Dr. Gary R. Collins discusses personal, developmental, interpersonal, identity, family and other issues with case histories and Biblical insights.

EM 601-The Soul Winner

SCIENCE AND HISTORY

HS 631 Post-Reformation to the mid-1800's
This course traces the development of Western Civilization from the Age of Absolutism through the French Revolution, Industrial Revolution and The Romantic movement.

SC 701-Biblical Basis of Modern Science
Based on the extensive research of Henry Morris, this course presents key Biblical insights and instructions related to the natural sciences, giving them a totally Christian perspective.

HS 731-World Events of the Past 150 Years
This course traces the development of Western Civilization from 1848 to the contemporary world, including the First and Second World Wars.

ENGLISH

EN 605-Historical Novel Writing
Techniques and exercises from a successful novelist, Gilbert Morris, will help the student prepare to minister through fiction. Students will also be required to read and analyze “The Honorable Imposter”, the first novel in the popular House of Winslow series.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Masters Thesis or Project
Minimum of 75 typewritten pages; a popular writing style is permitted for the thesis. In some cases, permission may be granted for a research project in place of a thesis.

Doctoral Dissertation or Project
Minimum of 150 typewritten pages; a popular writing style is permitted for the dissertation. In some cases, permission may be granted for a project in place of a dissertation.
